|
|
So i currently own a ti84 se, and i want cas on this calculator. The best app i can use for that is zoommath500 as i know, however, it's super expensive, even more expensive then a ti-nspire or ti89. Can anybody give me a registration key or a keygen or anything? it could be good if you can make one as good as that, or even better one and let ppl download it for free [/b] |

Ohhh, fraid we can't, so you will have to do without, as what you are asking for is illegal, nor are we personal programmers, so no making it for you nor getting you a crack/serial key, which I highly doubt exists on calculator apps.
also, CAS is not allowed on various state tests, so you are probably better off just learning without it. Of course, you can see if there is something you can use that is from ticalc.org. _________________

For starters, we are considered "hackers", but that doesn't mean we're unethical. We will not give you means to get this app for free, or a keygen, or anything of that sort.
On a brighter note, there is some sort of CAS-like flash application for the 84+ series, called "Symbolic", which is free of charge. Another potential option is gCAS2 by AHelper, but that would require changing your operating system to GlassOS.
Finally, might I suggest you introduce yourself in this thread? _________________ -Ashbad |

Omnicalc is a fine addition to a set of good flash application to keep handy, but it isn't CAS-related, and none of its extra functions carry over to symbolic, FYI Dave. _________________ -Ashbad |

Ah, sorry about that, then, and according to the symbolic review, it may have some conflicts with symbolic.... oh well, I thought it was worth a shot.
Be sure to tell us how Symbolic works out for you, Dave _________________

Welcome to Cemetech, Dave! Be sure to introduce yourself in the topic that Ashbad linked to I do think it is silly to try to make money off of programs for the calculator, but I'm sure it made (and still makes) perfect sense to the person who is selling ZoomMath. And I had completely forgotten how expensive the best version of it is; it's been far too long since I've had to use my calculator for math (Had it first semester last year, and second semester this year, so that's a year off of math).
I would recommend, if you really have to use it, to just get the lowest version (the free one), and then gradually work your way up to the standard calculator homescreen, and then to writing programs to do the work for you. The homescreen really isn't too hard to work with, but you do have to know the bits and pieces that could mess you up when entering a problem. Of course, once you know it, you know it forever. If you have any questions, continue asking in this thread And we hope that you'll also let us help you learn to program your calculator to do the work for you (And that's learning, not asking for/copying our code ) _________________ http://tanner.myserverathome.com

FWIW, you can use some of the Zoom Math features without paying for the key, which just allows you to activate the other more advanced features. If I recall correctly, a community member said "hacking" the app wasn't very difficult, but doing so is illegal and we won't discuss how to do it here. _________________ CALCnet Tournament-38%

To basically back up what everyone has already said, there's no good free symbolic math app, Zoom is overpriced (and we won't tell you how to hack it), and you'd probably best spend your time learning how to do the symbolic manipulation yourself. You could even learn a little programming and write your own symbolic code for whatever you're trying to do! Don't forget to introduce yourself. _________________

Just download symbolic and Omnicalc, ready to try it out | It's not a stupid question at all. Let us know how Symbolic and Omnicalc suit you, although be aware that certain features of each may not play nicely with Doors CS. _________________

If only Maxima wasn't so fat. I suppose that if someone was interested, they could port at least a partial version of it. That would be quite the undertaking though. _________________

wondering how to make a nice cas and put it on calc | It would take quite some time. You'd need a parser, which would read the equations the user inputted and figured out what were operators, what were variables, and what were constants, then build sets of rules to teach the system how to manipulate those, including performing basic algebraic operations, constant manipulation, integration and differentiation rules, etc. _________________

| hum, i guess it's a hard work to do....although idk ti-bsaic or c++ or vb or sdk or whatsoever, my idea is a app that can open with the calc, super fast(or make a os(change the ti84 os, build cas into the system, so that it's able to run faster than an app), can solve many stuffs(hopefully it can be as good as the cas on hp50g or casio cp330), i don't mind to delete all my games to fit this thing in. |

Once GlassOS gets released, you could use gCAS2. Also, the TI-84 doesn't exist, but the TI-84+ does. _________________ CALCnet Tournament-38%

Do you have an interest in learning TI-BASIC? We have several guides around the community that might help you if you're interested, or you could always wait for my book that is coming out later in the year. _________________

Actually if you combine Symbolic, PrettyPrint and Autocalc ( http://tiplanet.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=7545 ), you pretty much get something like a CAS. However, since the latter part is written in BASIC, calculating certain things can be incredibly slow and if I remember it doesn't support every single kind of formulas. Also from what I remember, Autocalc is only in French. _________________
