Looks like a nice start, but a little too boxy for my tastes. Let's see if we can't come up with something both [ornate and elegant] and [excessive with use of iron/gold/lapis/diamond blocks].

Those look great; I think the dome is an excellent idea. Gold block circle around the middle of the dome ftw? Cool sketches as well.
