I'm working on Game of Life for the Prizm, I'm pretty close to done. Here's a screen shot:
I'm working on making the colors customizable, and if I feel really ambitious, I'll make the size customizable. _________________ Shaun

wow, that looks great ^-^ however, one suggestion besides customizeable size/color is the option of having to keep that grid -- personally I think that the grid looks nice and all, but requires a certain color to make it look less "hectic" -- because red and black look kinda bright like that _________________ -Ashbad
/me already gave it a test. Looks awesome The controls are a little sensitive, but I don't think much can be done about that. It would also be cool (And memory intensive) to have a bunch of well know GoL set ups, like glider guns, etc. _________________ http://tanner.myserverathome.com

What do you mean by the controls being a bit sensitive? I believe Merth said that he added debouncing to avoid that. And I absolutely agree on the GoL demos. _________________
The arrow keys are kind of difficult to get the cursor to certain spots. Like, trying to move it exactly one down and to the right is difficult (for me). The debouncing was for the F# keys, iirc. _________________ http://tanner.myserverathome.com
To come:
- Better graphics drawing (hopefully being able to use all the colors)
- Better key handling (specifically the arrow keys, and the MENU button)
- Alternative rule sets
- Control over ranom population density
- "Stamps" (pre-programmed patterns)

now, this looks great I find it MUCH easier to look at, and the color options are even better!
Sorry to say I can't test on HW -- I have no prizm however, if my plan goes correctly, I will splurge and buy one at Best Buy by Friday, and I can test it then _________________ -Ashbad
Yeah, I had a hard time figuring out the best color setting. Once we figure out a better way to handle drawing stuff so it uses non-posterized colors, I'll be able to make it look even better. _________________ Shaun

Did you make a video of this yet, Shaun? As soon as I write up my Beginners' Guide thread and have a little more to show on Obliterate, I'll have to compose a new news article with our projects. Hopefully Tanner will have gotten a screenshot or two by then so we can mention his project (was it Pong?). _________________

Double post, just kidding, that is awesome merthsoft, great job!
Nearly 48 hours is a bump, not a double-post, especially when it's an important project update. Merth, nice, I'm glad that you decided to go with the inversion in the rule setting screen. And yay, you updated it in the archives! _________________
