So you Doctor Who fans, what would your reaction be to having Peter Davison reprise his role as the 5th Doctor in the 50th anniversary episode?

I think that it would be fantastic. It'd be even better if they managed to put in ALL the Doctors for this special somehow.

moffat, pls.

Yes. I want them ALL to come back (even the dead ones)!
Minus the smoking from the first doctor of course.
http://www.radiotimes.com/news/2013-09-23/could-even-the-bbc-top-this-peter-capaldi-doctor-who-intro

Video in the link shows a fan made intro for the new doctor. Honestly, they should just buy the works off the person and use it, there's no way for them to top it.
I'm a fan also of: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kkJqRkaq8co&noredirect=1
The BBC needs to hire both of those people to work on Doctor Who animation and marketing ASAP. I love both of those.
Hm, I think the first would most certainly make for a great intro, while the second would be more of a ship chasing the TARDIS scene and be awesome at that. I wonder if there is a way to get the BBC's attention to vote on them Very Happy
I'm not usually one for fan fiction at all, but this Doctor Who / Firefly crossover fan fiction is superbly written and feels like the style of both Doctor Who and Firefly. Check it out and enjoy:

I love old Doctor who episodes! Spenceboy, the mirror is not the most reputable source of news in the UK, so don't take it for gospel. Smile

There was a hoax story earlier this year about missing Doctor Who episodes. No episodes were found and a lot of fans were angry

It can possibly be real.
11 episodes have officially been found. 9 of which haven't been seen in 45 years. You can buy them on itunes at http://www.itunes.com/DoctorWho

Here is a trailer for one of them:

I want to watch them now. I has no money to buy, though. Apparently one of the ones found is the first one with the Brigadier. Very Happy
According to iTunes, "THE ENEMY OF THE WORLD" and the "WEB OF FEAR" both of six episodes, so 12 episodes have been found. Unless you subtracted "the first one with Brigadier."

I'll buy these ASAP Very Happy

I slacked off; I watched it but forgot to post it. Sad Lots of goodies and lots of old monsters in that trailer! I hope the episode is as good as the trailer makes it look.
Who else here is going to see the new DW episode in a theater in IMAX?

I am very frustrated and annoyed at how they handled that. The Fandango site continually said that the tickets weren't available yet after 9am ET on the day they were supposed to be available, then when I went to the theater in person, they said they were already sold out. Based on Twitter, there were a lot of people similarly annoyed at that pretty utter fail.
Not a single New England city has it. booo.
