I still think restricting links from posts & signatures is the best starting idea. Definitely not an end-all.
For Mods, I suggest we start keeping track of the IP addresses of these spammers. If we can find a common block we could effectively sanction that block off from registering...? _________________

On someone's profile, with the list of files the download count of the files should be included, and also the date it was uploaded. _________________ Shaun |

Suggestions:
-Allow the search engine to show results as individual posts (as option for registered members)
-Allow the search engine to search through United-TI posts (as option)
-Add a find all post link on United-TI member profiles accounts
-Add daily post graph to UTI accounts
-Revive Cemetech4 (or whatever the theme was called on Invisionfree and Geocities) _________________ Retired 83+ coder, Omnimaga/TIMGUL founder. Now doing power metal music (formerly did electronica)

Maybe something like keeping the layout right now, but adding a link on the row that will have the search display posts in the thread? Having the search page show by individual post would seem to clutter stuff up. I would love to see that happen as I find it hard to search for a specific post in a topic. Google helps, but it doesn't limit itself to a specific thread. _________________ °ᴥ° Get Lucky

Do you think I should revert the file list to take the whole page width, then, or just fit them in between the two columns with the rest of the format staying as it is? _________________

For me at least it looks like there's plenty of room to have it as the right-most column, in the area I black-box here:

You must have a much wider LCD than me, as I have half the whitespace at most between the names and paths, and a few dozen pixels to the left of the paths. Nevertheless, I can probably squeeze in those two extra fields. _________________

I've also got another suggestion:
The user names in the list of online users should be a links to that user's profile. _________________ Shaun |

Their usernames are links to their profile. _________________

Their usernames are links to their profile. | Only in the Online Users list, not in the sidebar on every page. I am loath to put make the sidebar list have links, as I worry that that would artificially elevate the search engine importance of those profile pages. Google already tried to make people's profiles into part of the SiteLinks. _________________

Oooh, I didn't realize there were links at the bottom there. Never mind on that suggestion, then _________________ Shaun |

Suggestion: Allowing you to "watch" files in the archive so you are notified when a new version is released by PM or direct email (since forum posts do it by email, makes sense). _________________ °ᴥ° Get Lucky

| It would be nice if the bot (which one is being used? saxjax? DoorsCS?) in #prizm would announce all posts in Casio Prizm/FX Development & Programming. IIRC, it only announces posts containing "Prizm" in the topic title, and not all of the Prizm-related topics contain that. |

It's DoorsCS and that may be intensive on either Cemetech or DoorsCS. For one, DoorsCS would have to check every post to find out it's forum category then display it. It wouldn't be so hard if the forum category number was listed in the URL but instead it's just the post number. So, for DoorsCS to do as little work as possible, posts would have to look something like:

Indeed, it would require either Cemetech adding additional info to post URLs, or that Doors CS and/or saxjax fetch topics when they got posted in to see what the subforum for that particular post/topic is. Considering how many people actually use the #prizm channel, though (I just recently removed it from my autojoin list), I don't know if it's worth the effort. _________________
