I own an 84 CSE, and I'm trying to dump my calc's ROM image onto the computer using rom8x. I got all of the AppVars downloaded on to my computer, and they are in the correct directory, but I can't seem to merge them with the Windows Command Prompt. When ever I try to merge the files into a .rom, I get a message saying something like:

>Dump 1: D84CSE1.8xv(random characters)
>Dump 2: D84CSE2.8xv
>Upgrade File: TI84PlusC_OS-4.20 (so, I'm using OS 4.20)

>D84CSE1.8xv(random characters): Invalid argument

Is it because I'm using 4.20? Or is there another reason?
I checked, by the way, and my first dump file is named D84CSE1, without the random characters. I tried renaming it (but not actually retyping the name), moving the files to different directories, and trying multiple times, and it still won't work.
Are you using rom8x 0.3 (modernized) by Tari that adds TI-84+CSE support? Did you specify the correct arguments to indicate that you're working with a TI-84+CSE OS?

Sorry, yes, I'm using that version, and I used the correct arguments, I believe.

Edit: It could be that the first dump AppVar was corrupted while being transferred, since my USB port isn't working very well.
Edit 2: I tried redownloading the first AppVar, and it still gives me that error message.
That's possible, although unlikely. Have you tried the next logical step based on that, re-dumping the first AppVar?

Yes, I did, and it's still giving me that error.
Never mind, my problem was resolved.
For future reference: there was a minor bug in that the auto-determined dump filenames were truncated. I've fixed that in version 0.3.2. Manually specifying the dump files (-1 and -2) is a workaround.
