So, I'm looking to get a tablet pc. The style/design I'd like to get is like the HP TC4400. I want one that can be a laptop, and rotate around to be a tablet.

Not really sure what else is out there that is similar to this design, and is roughly a 2.5Ghz proc and above, with at least 4GB of RAM that can be put into it. Plus, you know, not being a junk model is also a good thing.

Thoughts?
Are you looking to get something new? Or perhaps something a bit older? And do you have any other priorities, like screen size?
Awww http://www.ebay.com/itm/191213971048 sold, I was gonna suggest it! If it looks right, I could keep my eye on eBay for similar deals?
There are numerous ones that are 2.0Ghz, I'm looking for something faster, closer to the 2.5Ghz range with more RAM. Those don't crop up, and I'm also looking at other brands that might be better, hence the topic.
In the past five years, I have had very good experiences with the following three convertible tablets:
- HP tx2525nr, 2009: (specifications, $705 with shipping on Woot.com) Included both a Wacom digitizer and a finger touchscreen, moderately acceptable build quality, okay battery life, weak CPU
- Thinkpad x200T, 2011: (~$1000 when purchased through university channels) Amazing battery life, very solid build, Wacom touch only, good built-in software with no bloatware. Even had a 3G modem, but I never activated it.
- Fujitsu Lifebook T732, 2013: (specifications, ~$1300 when purchased through university channels) The tablet I'm typing this post on. Also pretty solid build, although not as good as the Thinkpad. With a second battery in the optical drive bay (the Thinkpad didn't have an optical drive bay), my battery life is phenomenal. Has both finger and Wacom touch. My girlfriend kicked it out of bed the day after I got it and shattered the screen; a $70 replacement screen from eBay later, it was back in business with everything still working.

What do you want to use it for?
What about the Surface Pro? Either the 2 or the 3? Use it like a tablet, attach a keyboard and use it like a laptop. Pro versions have full fledged Windows 8.
comic: Because they are currently outside my price range. I'm looking for suggestions at models that I might be able to find in the $500 or less range on ebay, that might still be good models to pursue.

As to my uses, I'd like something more portable to do writing and drawing, and still function as my main finance tracker, programming machine, etc. My current laptop does not like playing videos, and trying to do other things. Heck, sometimes it just freezes up, and then the audio and video are so far off track you have to restart the video to get it right, it's getting quite annoying. Just wanting something with more processor power and RAM, and possibly video ram, though those start getting pricey, I know.

Out of curiosity, I recommend trying to find the current prices for the machines I mentioned; the Thinkpad and the Fujitsu lines in particular would be worth a try for you. The HP was also a very capable machine at the time, although with current software it might be sluggish.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/221466131262 Lenovo ThinkPad X220T with 2.5 GHz i5 for $565. Nice condition, includes good battery, Windows 7, stylus, and charger.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/271521860231 Basically the only result for "Fujitsu Lifebook T732" at the moment, and at $700, soaring above $500, but it's nice enough. 2.4GHz i3.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/131215139044 A cheaper HP one, at $150, but is much older, especially the single-touch screen and Turion X2 CPU. And Windows Vista! Smile I'm sure it'd run 7 though.
