I believe .tig files are groups, not programs. That would be your problem.

edit: Confirmed, .tig files are groups. Copy the program(s) from the group to your desktop, then SourceCoder them from there.

Because the programmer put it there. On calc, to ungroup it (TI-84+), press [2nd] - [+] - [8] - [right], then scroll down till its there.
Transfering a .tig file to your calc and ungrouping it is easier on the calcs hard drive than treansfering a bunch of programs to the calc one at a time.

double-click the .tig file from Windows explorer. This should open a new window with the contents of the group written in blue instead of black. then drag-to-select everything and drag-and-drop them to the desktop or any other folder you want them in.

Xeno is exactly correct. Use TI's file explorer thing to open the TIG and extract the file(s) that you want, then you can upload those to SourceCoder.

Also, please avoid double-posting. If you need to add something, especially something so off-topic (which should really be in another thread) please edit your post.

Do you have TI-Connect installed on your computer? If not, that's your first step. Smile

If Windows Explorer is an option, choose that. If not, Internet Explorer

He already said he didn't. However, he can get it at http://education.ti.com/educationportal/downloadcenter/SoftwareDetail.do?website=US&tabId=1&paneId=7&appId=183

Ah, I missed that. No, Explorer cannot open tig files. No, Internet Explorer also cannot open .tig files. This is what you need:

I don't think you understand me, chill out for a second and listen. TI-Connect, besides being a program to transfer files to and from your computer, also integrates a program similar to the Windows Explorer feature that lets you view Zip files as if they were folders. After you install TI-Connect, without needing to connect a graphlink cable or anything, you will be able to open .tig files with one of the several programs bundled into TI-Connect. Makes sense? Is the problem that you can't install programs on your computer because you're not an administrator?
