Just glancing through it, I didn't see any values being stored into 'R' before the 'θ+R-›R' that might be your problem. Correct me if I am wrong.

NO that is just fine. R==0 . R is just the accumulater value of Right Edge sums. Nothing is stored to L or M either until the Theta +L or M or R->L or M or R

So no. i dont think that is the problem.

I am really tempted to just remove the Right Edge Sum from that program. I must be totally blind, because I cant see what I am doing wrong at all.

Comments, complaints, hate mail. I take it all

It looks decent enough to me, but you used a pre-made template, I assume? Did you make the header logo yourself? What's the forum for? Smile

its for a game, and it is a premade template. I plan to customize it so much that it does not look premade. the header logo was premade as well, but will be changing.

Does anyone have a related rates program? I would like to look over source code before I write my own.

Also, am I correct that rotation problems are.

piR^2 X 2integral f(x)? How would I add in changing where the roatation point is. I am not very good at rotations, as I missed about 2 days when we were working on them.

example.
rotate X^2 around Y=1, then around X=2. Just some pseudocode would be nice.

Edit by Kerm: "sudo" is the Linux command for "do as superuser". "Pseudo" is the word for "pretended, false, spurious". Therefore, you want "pseudocode", not "sudo code".

ah thanks Kerm. I do want pseudo. haha. Also, next week is finals week, so I am hoping to have more free time after that. For my use of free time.

1.Developing my own sprite controlled scrolling menu. The next logical step for me.
2. Learning HTML, CSS and PHP for helping to manage my other forum.
3. Learning bash scripting.
4.GETTING A JOB!!!
5.Upgrading my PC with new found money from said job. Getting a better proc, with new MOtherboard, and new ram. I have 2GB ram, 3.0GHz pentium 4 now.
Getting 8GB of ram, with a quad core proc. So probably about 200-300 dollars.

You do what pseudo? You lost me there. Sounds like you have a good set of summer goals set out for yourself, not too expansive and unreasonable but also not too limited. I hope you're successful.

Pseudo has a long o sound on the second syllable, and does not rhyme with you do.

well, i may come off my programming hiatus. In the small free time I have, I am going to come back onto IRC more, in additon to maybe HAVECALC, from time to time. my first project is my scrolling menu.

when you reach the bottom of the current set of options, instead of a "More options" option. it will add either of the following 2 options.

1. A single new option and push all current options up a row (Think it will be slower than option2)
2. Add a whole new "page" of options, think this way would be faster.

When you reach the top and bottom of the entire menu. AKA option 1 and option, <Last option> Then it will load the entire page at the bottom of the menu, or top of the menu respectively.

hope that makes sense. Which would you rather i do?

This is TI-BASIC correct? Will you be doing it on the homescreen or graphscreen? I think that either of those two options would work nicely. From a user standpoint, (1) is a bit more intuitive, but as you say, (2) would be a lot faster. How about giving coders the option of choosing either one? It only really works out to be a difference of whether you scroll down 1 or N items at the end. A third option would be to scroll down N-1 items, so that the previous last item is now first. I think that that is a good compromise, because users will have the peace of mind of knowing they didn't miss any options, and won't have to go backwards to check.

Ah, that is a good point. I think N-1 would be good. and yes all TI Basic, and all graphscreen. Using Text( with sprite loops.

If I have time, I might start some coding later today.

EDIT: IS there an easy way to store Strings into a list?

Ex.

Code:

"Option1"->L1(1)
"Option2"->L1(2)

THinking about this ahead of time for my next project. A user inputed menu. I dont know how well it will work. but its possible.

Would I be better of making lists, or just sticking to one long string in STR Vars, and using sub(
