|
|
First of all I apologise for my bad English and am terribly sorry if this topic doesn't fit in this section of the forum.
i have got a problem running the game Pokemon Red (http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/248/24889.html)
I've followed the instructions, that means I have put the group-file on my calculator's RAM and the other 3 files (ZM.8xp, ZPF.8xp, ZTOWN.8xps) on the archive using TI-Connect. Then I tried to run the game by clicking on the programm "POKEMON2" in the prgm-section of my calculator, put it just drew strange graphs, i recognised one of them to be the one I had defined at the y= section at school. I have no Idea what to do and would be glad for some help.
Regards

Press the top left button and clear out all the the equations in the Y#= lines, that should eliminate that problem. Are there any other issues that you have with it? _________________ Projects: AOD Series: 70% | FFME: 80% | Pokemon: 18% | RPGSK: 60% | Star Trek: 70% | Star Trek 83+: 40% | TI-City: 5%

Quacksalber, welcome to Cemetech! It's good to have you here; you should Introduce Yourself if you get a chance. As TIFreak8x says, [Y=] will show you all of the Y= equations on your calculator, and [CLEAR] on each line that has an equation will remove it. The programmer really should have added the FnOff command at the beginning of the program, though. I should also mention that TIFreak8x is working on a Pokemon game called Pokemon Purple, which promises to be extremely good. _________________

Thanks for the quick replies!
After I deleted the y= it worked, but after a welcome screen it crashed with an undefined error.
After that i deleted the game and installed Pokemon Purple. It worked on first try. Thanks! (Btw: Is beta 0.1.4 is the newest released version or have i missed somthing?)
Regards

It is thus far, yes. I've made a great many improvements to the game since that point. Sadly, none of it is playable until I can finalize the next beta, and bring all the updates and upgrades together into one functional game. There are a ton of screenshots and the like, if you look under the 'Member Features' on the front forum page. _________________ Projects: AOD Series: 70% | FFME: 80% | Pokemon: 18% | RPGSK: 60% | Star Trek: 70% | Star Trek 83+: 40% | TI-City: 5%

Also, the Cemetech discussion topic for the project's progress is hereabouts. I don't think TIFreak8x made a 2012 topic yet. _________________
